Remote Director of People and Culture

Faith Driven is a movement dedicated to equipping 1 million Christ-following entrepreneurs with content, community, and connections so they can step into their purpose and fulfill their call to create. We also work with Students to help them catch that vision from a young age. Through the ministries of Faith Driven Investor, we also serve high capacity investors looking to steward their philanthropic and investable capital to make a difference in the kingdom. Our vision is that both Entrepreneurs, Investors and Students might come to know God more fully and bring their work to Him as a form of worship.

We serve a growing team of 40 team members that are spread across 6 countries, 14 states and a lot of time zones. As a leader on this team you will have the opportunity to grow, interact with and encourage a global team across all departments. 

The ideal candidate would be based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones so they can be available for live gatherings and overlap with President. The ideal candidate is a mature, experienced leader full of energy with related HR/People/Culture experience in fast moving, entrepreneurial businesses. 

While we envision this as a full time role, this might also be an ideal role for someone who is in a season in their career where they might be looking for something in the range 30-40 hours a week. 

JOB SUMMARY
As a leader on the team you will be involved in various different tasks. It may include: 
  • Caring for a Global Team - Galvanize staff culture that spans 6 countries, 14 states and many time zones. 
    • Fun - This person will be responsible for weekly, monthly and annual staff “fun” and will foster connection within our fully virtual + global team across multiple time zones.
    • Development - This person will lead out in providing resources for staff development, and coordinating full team or individual team development courses. 
    • Encouragement - This person will be available to the team to walk through different life seasons with our staff and care for the whole person. This will always be in support and deferring to the Team and their Team Leaders. 
  • Recruiting Incredible Leaders - You shepherd candidates through the application, interview and hiring process, by both going outbound to attract the best talent and by managing the inbound pipeline. We want anyone that applies with Faith Driven to have an intentional and thoughtful experience. 
  • Matching Strengths with Opportunities and Ongoing Team Support - This person will receive additional training on the ProScan assessment that we use both as an interview and team building too. We use this tool in the hiring process to accelerate relationships. We also use this in helping teams built their rhythms of communication and staff development
  • Onboarding with Excellence - We will be looking to this leader to continue to enhance the onboarding process to ensure employee success and flourishing. 

SUCCESS PROFILE
To be effective in this role, you must be…
  • Mature in the Christian Faith and passionate to make a difference. As a mission driven, non profit ministry, we need someone who is deep in their faith, understands the “why” we are called to this work and what guides how we do it. 
  • Passionate about Serving High Capacity Entrepreneurs and Investors - Entrepreneurs and Investors are a unique people group. Highly driven, mission minded. Always on. As entrepreneurs and investors ourselves, it's who we feel deeply called to. The ideal candidate would have both an understanding and experience working closely with entrepreneurs. 
  • High Energy - Virtual is tough. We need someone who has a deep well of energy and ideas for fostering a team environment. Be willing to go the extra mile to ensure each employee is supported.
  • Adaptable to Change and Entrepreneurial Environments - We’re a fast paced, entrepreneurially minded organization. We need someone in this role that can work at that pace and help support the team as they launch into new opportunities.

Act as a self-motivated driver and leader, who can work autonomously, but also willing to take feedback and direction from a team to improve the process. Serve as a results-oriented leader with a “get stuff done” attitude that drives results. Be comfortable and confident rolling up your sleeves and doing the work yourself. We’re always shaping strategy together. We’re a lean team, and we all pitch in to make sure everything we release into the world is excellent and inspiring.

LOCATION
We are a remote team of 40+ people that partner with hundreds of volunteers and partners to advance the mission. Team members work in any location, although core team working hours are largely in the US. The team at Faith Driven is spread out around the world from Singapore, San Francisco, Dallas, Nairobi, and places in between. For this particular role we are looking for someone who is in the Eastern or Central Time Zones of the US that can overlap with most team members.
