Church Media Squad is hiring a
Remote Video Designer

The Position

Church Media Squad is seeking a Full-Time Video Designer to join our growing Squad. At Church Media Squad, we exist to make church media better by helping local church ministries with graphic and video production, communication and social strategy, website development, and full-scale branding.

Our new Video Designer will assist with the weekly video design needs of Church Media Squad clients and handle daily communications with them. The Video Designer position is a full-time, hourly role.

All Church Media Squad employees work completely remotely. Full-time employees receive a company MacBook Pro after their first six weeks. Church Media Squad is an Apple-only environment.

About Church Media Squad:

Church Media Squad is based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The state of Utah has the lowest percentage of Christians in the country, with the Salt Lake Valley having less than 5% who consider themselves part of the Christian faith. Our Founder’s goal and hope is to be part of God's transformative movement in the Salt Lake Valley by making our base of operations here and helping church plants in Salt Lake Valley.

Qualifications:

Direct experience with Adobe video editing tools is required to apply for this position.
Required proficiency with:
- After Effects - Expert
- Premiere - Expert
- Photoshop - Beginning to Intermediate
Preference will be given to applicants with additional proficiency in:
- C4D or Blender
- Photoshop and Illustrator
Must submit a video reel link with the application. Only portfolios containing the following project types will be considered:
- Bumper Videos
- Motion Graphics
- Social Reels
Familiarity with these tools is a plus but not a requirement:
- Slack
- ClickUp
- Dropbox
Preference is given to applicants based in the United States or other North American countries. However, Church Media Squad employees are located worldwide, so any application is welcome.
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience working for a church. This firsthand experience enables us to serve better the church staff we collaborate with daily.

Responsibilities:

Work assigned workload based on projects from our Project Managers Squad.
The official working time for all member-facing Squad Members is +/- 2 hours of 9AM - 5 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
Communicate with design clients via ClickUp with a high level of customer support and care. Send a meme or gif showing how you feel about working in customer service to duane@churchmediasquad.com.
Regularly be in contact with the Squad via our company Slack
Bi-weekly 1:1s with your Squad Lead (direct manager)
Act as a community expert and mentor within Church Circle, engaging in discussions, sharing insights, and, if applicable, leading webinars or workshops to support collaboration and education among ministry professionals.

Other Details:

Reports to a Squad Lead (direct manager).
High-speed internet is required for this position.
This is a full-time, W2 employee position with a starting pay range of $21.63 - $26.44 per hour. Pay is dependent on location and experience.
Church Media Squad has an annual pay raise consideration period every January after your first full year of employment.
