Remote Social Media Specialist

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 a year

The key objectives of the Social Media Specialist role are to reach, nurture, and convert prospects into leads, donors, and advocates for the work we do. Through our social media advertising and other communication efforts, we aim to increase brand recognition and increase our conversion and engagement rates, enabling us to make a greater impact in the communities we serve.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement comprehensive social media advertising strategies to support World Relief's mission and goals.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage social media advertising campaigns across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with the organic social media specialist to align strategies and maintain consistent messaging.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • Develop engaging and visually appealing organic and ad content that resonates with target audiences across various social media platforms.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase followers, likes, shares and other key engagement metrics, executing giveaways and campaigns to boost audience engagement and loyalty.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns for click-through rate, cost per click, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure our advertising efforts remain innovative and effective.
  • Brainstorm and experiment with new content formats, trends and strategies to keep our social media presence fresh and engaging.
  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide regular reports to demonstrate ROI and suggest improvements.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure a cohesive and impactful online presence.
  • Work closely with the content and visual teams to provide recommendations and insights based on past campaign results.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Associate to create and optimize automated workflows, including new lead onboarding series, event/trigger-based ads, and donation appeals.
  • Analyze and report on social campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement for both organic and paid platforms

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Data-driven and curious mind.
  • Strong team orientation, able to collaborate well with others, share ideas openly, and adapt plans based on input of others.
  • Able to adapt to fast-paced, changing realities and needs during disaster response situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of paid advertising best practices, including list management, segmentation, A/B testing, automation, and optimization.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of key paid advertising marketing metrics and KPIs.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Copy/writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including content, visual
  • Design, and digital marketing while also working effectively in a remote team environment.

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.
·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
