Junior IT Solutions Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Junior IT Solutions Specialist to join our development-focused team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in optimizing IT platforms, supporting system integrations, and enhancing workflows. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, grow their technical skills, and contribute to meaningful ministry work.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Optimization and Support
  • Assist in optimizing existing technology platforms to improve workflows and processes.
  • Provide guidance and basic troubleshooting support to staff using organizational tools.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify challenges and suggest productivity-enhancing solutions.
  • Help educate users on effectively utilizing existing tools.

System Integration and Automation
  • Support and maintain system integrations using APIs and middleware tools.
  • Troubleshoot basic integration issues and assist in implementing process improvements.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for workflow automation.

Data Management and Reporting
  • Assist in creating and maintaining datasets to support analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to developing dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
  • Support efforts to ensure data accuracy and integrity across organizational systems.
 
Learning and Knowledge Development
  • Develop a foundational understanding of organizational tools and platforms under the guidance of the Principal Software Engineer.
  • Document workflows and best practices for consistency across teams.
  • Stay proactive in learning new tools and IT best practices to support organizational needs.

Support for Field Workers, Appointees, and Applicants
  • Assist in developing IT solutions tailored to the needs of field workers, appointees, and applicants.
  • Ensure systems are accessible and reliable for global users.
  • Provide occasional remote technical support and training as needed.

Promote Christian Values
  • Uphold and exemplify Christian values in all responsibilities.
  • Support the mission and vision of Pioneers US through IT solutions that enable Gospel-sharing work.
  • Work heartily, as for the Lord, in alignment with Colossians 3:23.

Be a Team Player
  •  Perform additional tasks as needed, such as infrastructure support, disaster recovery assistance, or help desk duties.
  • Approach conflicts with patience and grace, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Be willing to assist with occasional physical tasks (e.g., lifting 35+ pounds).
  • Demonstrate a servant’s heart in all interactions and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience
  • 0–3 years of experience in Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in a related discipline.

Technical Skills
  • Basic understanding of system integration concepts, including APIs and middleware tools.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript, or Python, and basic knowledge of T-SQL for database operations.
  • Understanding of workflow concepts like conditional logic, loops, and data handling in automation tools.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Donor Direct software is a plus

Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to challenges in a collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Pioneers US and a desire to contribute to a Christ-centered organization.
