Remote Tech Lead/Sr. Tech Lead

The Role
As a Technical Lead at Servant, you will play a pivotal role in driving technology projects and delivering high-quality solutions in alignment with our mission. This role will require both technical and leadership expertise to guide a cross-functional engineering team, ensuring all deliverables meet our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define, plan, and prioritize engineering projects, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a hands-on technical leader, mentoring engineers, providing constructive feedback, and establishing effective processes to enhance team productivity and skill development.
  • Design and Development: Lead and actively participate in the design, development, and review of scalable technical solutions, promoting best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Onboarding Support: Facilitate the onboarding of new engineering team members, ensuring a seamless transition and integration into projects.
  • Quality and Timeliness: Oversee the engineering team's deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality project completion that meets Servant's standards of excellence.
  • Project Documentation: Facilitate and drive the discovery, documentation, and maintenance of project-related artifacts, including requirements, specifications, and work item backlogs.
  • Mission-Driven Engagement: Embrace and support Servant's mission and values, fostering a collaborative, values-aligned work environment in all interactions with team members and clients.



Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related industry experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of Full Stack engineering experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated leadership skills, including mentorship, feedback, and process improvement
  • Direct experience working across diverse technology stacks including React / React Native / Node.js / with demonstrated expertise in one or more areas relevant to our projects (e.g., web development, app development, data solutions) in creation of requirements and specifications for software development projects
  • Extensive experience working in Agile (Scrum, kanban, or similar) teams and related tooling (Jira, Atlassian, Azure DevOps, etc)
  • Prior consulting experience preferred
  • Experience working remotely
