Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Digital Content leads and optimizes our digital content initiatives. This role will develop and implement an integrated content strategy that engages our audiences, drives growth, and amplifies our Christ-centered message across digital channels through effective channeling. The Sr. Manager of Digital Content will work closely with radio, creative, marketing, and social media teams to enhance our digital presence and deliver high-quality content that aligns with our mission.

Essential Functions
Planning and Organizing:
  • Develop and lead the overall digital content strategy for HMG brands including but not limited to KSBJ, WayFM, Hope Nation, Vida Unida, NGEN Radio, and WayLoud, including content planning, creation, distribution, and performance measurement. Ensure content aligns with our Christian values and resonates with target audiences.
  • Use data-driven insights to understand audience behavior, preferences, and engagement patterns. Tailor content strategies to meet the needs and interests of various demographics within the Christian community.
  • Oversee the creation and optimization of high-quality, engaging digital content including blogs, articles, videos, podcasts, email newsletters, and more. Ensure content aligns with SEO best practices and is optimized for various digital channels.
  • Manage content distribution across web, email, social media, and other digital platforms to maximize reach and engagement. Tailor content formats and strategies to specific platform requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, editors, and digital strategists. Provide guidance and professional development to help team members grow creatively and strategically.
  • Work closely with departments such as Marketing, Social Media, Video Production, and Community Engagement to support organization-wide initiatives, ensuring content is consistent in message and voice.
  • Champion content that is rooted in our Christian values, telling stories that inspire, encourage, and support the spiritual journeys of our audiences.
  • Proficient in content management systems, digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO, and project management software. Familiarity with social media tools and video content production is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing creative and digital content teams. Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a team toward shared goals.

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, able to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A committed Christian who aligns with the mission and values of our organization.
  • Pray for coworkers in team meetings
  • Lead prayer in large group settings as needed 
  • Pray for donors when called upon to do so
  • Participate in on-air fundraising and pray for donors over the phone as needed 
  • Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
  • Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Analyze available platform data to understand current/future opportunities for improvement and digital growth. 
Non-Essential Functions:
  • Other duties as requested.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience:
  •  5+ years of experience in digital content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role. Proven expertise in content development and multi-platform strategy, ideally in a faith-based or nonprofit organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Heart for Christian Ministry
  • Strong moral character
  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
  • Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Immediate supervision of a small group of employees. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews and applies company policies.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
