Remote Product Designer

About the Role
We’re an early-stage healthcare startup building a groundbreaking healthcare marketplace focused on functional health providers and cash-pay services. As our Product Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the product vision, strategy, and design as we bring this concept to life.

This is an opportunity to join at the earliest stages and have a direct impact on creating a product that is intuitive, beautiful, and solves real-world problems in healthcare. You will work closely with our leadership team to design and iterate the user experience and interface, balancing user needs with business goals.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in the ambiguity of building something from scratch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to define product vision, user needs, and features.
  • Lead the end-to-end design process, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.
  • Develop user flows and intuitive interfaces that simplify complex workflows for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistency as the product evolves.
  • Conduct user research and incorporate feedback to improve usability and functionality.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure a smooth handoff and execution of designs.
  • Contribute to product strategy by aligning design decisions with user needs and business goals.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer (startup experience preferred).
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work, including UX flows and UI execution.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
    • Ability to create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
    • Understanding of user-centered design principles and design systems.
  • Mindset: Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to thrive in an early-stage startup environment.
  • Bonus: Experience designing marketplaces or working in healthcare is a big plus.

Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $45–$60/hour (commensurate with experience).
  • Part-Time Commitment: 10-20 hours/week with flexibility.
  • Growth Opportunity: Potential for an expanded role and responsibilities as the product evolves.
  • Equity: Performance-based equity may be available for long-term contributors.
