Remote Project Manager, Platform

About this Role:
As Project Manager, you will be working with the Zed (our federated GraphQL service layer) and Salesforce (our CRM system of record) squads to bring order to the work our backend teams are responsible for. You’ll help wrangle our workstreams in Jira to organize our work, capture and manage requirements, and keep our developers accountable for the work they’re committing to. 

You’ll keep a pulse on the state of work, actively help remove roadblocks, and connect our squads in the conversations necessary to move our work forward. You’ll participate in and support our squad rituals like the daily standup, sprint retro, planning, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, stakeholders, and others.

Most importantly, you will bring your skills and experience to help further our mission of helping people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus. 

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Collaborating closely with the Engineering Managers, Product Managers, other Project Managers, and others to coordinate work, capture requirements, and bring the right people together
  • Support the biweekly rhythms of planning and execution for cross-functional product teams as a project manager, including daily standups, refinement, sprint retro, and sprint planning
  • Organizing work in Jira across the Zed and Salesforce squads
  • Proactively identifying and removing roadblocks from the team
  • Tracking and communicating releases that impact other teams and squads
  • Coaching the team on project management best practices and helping them identify ways to work better together
  • Proactively identifying cross-functional dependencies that might affect other teams or those that might affect your team. 

What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of overall experience as either a scrum master, technical project manager, or product manager
  • Experience with managing work in Jira 
  • Experience in a (preferably, SaaS) company that leverages agile development processes 
  • Experience working with engineers to refine and estimate their work
  • Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineering leaders, dev ops engineers, and backend software engineers in a cross-functional Squad mode
  • Strong communication skills

Location: This role must be performed within the U.S. Occasional travel to Portland may be required.

Compensation:
  • The annual salary range for this role is $88,000 to $111,000.  Salary scales with experience directly related to this role.
    • Competitive salary that scales with experience directly related to this role. Top tier in our market but will not match top technology companies
