POSITION SUMMARY
Global Media Outreach is seeking a versatile and experienced Senior Copywriter to join our marketing communications team. This role requires a strategic storyteller who excels at marketing communications while demonstrating expertise across diverse writing genres. The ideal candidate will be passionate about crafting compelling content that advances our mission of sharing the Gospel through innovative digital outreach, with particular strength in transformational storytelling, marketing communications content development, and long-form copywriting, such as grant and business proposals, annual reports, and thought leadership articles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Marketing Communications: Create compelling web content, blog posts, marketing collateral, and public relations materials that drive engagement and support business objectives
  • Transformational Storytelling: Research, interview, write, edit, and publish life-changing stories that showcase the ministry’s impact through testimonials and human interest narratives
  • Strategic Content Development: Develop long-form web content, thought leadership articles, lead generation magnets, presentations, and email marketing campaigns
  • Grant Writing & Proposals: Craft persuasive and individualized grant proposals and business proposals to secure funding and support ministry partnerships
  • Fundraising & Donor Communications: Develop compelling fundraising communications and donor-focused content that inspires generosity and builds lasting relationships
  • Brand Management: Develop, manage, and deploy company style guides while ensuring all content aligns with brand messaging and identity standards
  • Copy Editing & Proofing: Provide meticulous editing, proofing, and quality assurance across all content types
  • Newsletter & Email Marketing: Create engaging newsletter content and email marketing campaigns that nurture relationships and drive action
  • Short-Form Copy (is a strong plus): Craft compelling headlines, social media posts, and advertising copy when needed

Qualifications
  • Experience: 6-10 years of professional copywriting experience, including writing-based college internships in journalism, advertising, or marketing
  • Writing Competency & Versatility: Proven ability to easily adapt writing style and tone for various audiences, platforms, and purposes
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, or related field
  • Portfolio Requirements: Demonstrated track record across multiple genres, including human interest storytelling, marketing, journalism, grant writing, fundraising communications, business proposals, advertising, public relations, annual reports, technical writing, and web content. If selected for an interview, the candidate must provide digital access to a diverse portfolio of work across as many categories of copywriting as possible. College and pro bono work samples may also be included. Redacted samples (i.e. names and proprietary details removed) are acceptable to protect confidentiality and proprietary information.

  • Strategic Thinker: Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills and approaches projects with a strategic mindset
  • Self-Motivated: Internally driven self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Builds rapport easily and communicates effectively across diverse audiences
