Remote UX/UI Designer for Web & Mobile Apps

📍 Remote

We are currently looking for a UX/UI Designer for Web & Mobile Apps to join the fast-growing product team at Flocknote. It's an important role in our company and will help shape the path forward for Flocknote.

We're a small, startup dev team with a passion for the Church and making great things. We work hard, have fun, and are always improving. Because we're a small shop, you must be self-motivated, able to manage your day-to-day schedule, and a very good communicator. You'll have the opportunity to have your hands in everything, from concepts to launches, from process to implementation.

YOU'LL BE:
  • Shaping the way people experience Flocknote
  • Working closely with developers and leadership to design out new features within Flocknote that are easy & fun to use.
  • Designing how people interact with elements in Flocknote using subtle transitions, animations, and effects.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features for use on the web, mobile, and apps.
  • Understanding customer problems and user-stories to create designs that have near-real customer examples, common error-states, etc (not just lorem-ipsuming something pretty).
  • Providing multiple options for features for teams to work with and advance through design stages.
  • Ready to make quick changes to designs to help teams see their implications before we invest in coding them.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.

YOU'LL NEED:
  • A strong design portfolio with experience in developing web apps and/or mobile apps.
  • To be proficient in the design software of your choice
  • Taste!
  • A very very strong attention to detail
  • A big heart for people who aren’t computer savvy, helping them get the most out of the features, and an understanding of potential use-case roadblocks.
  • To be willing and ready to receive feedback to improve designs.
  • To be a self-starter and a go-getter.
  • To have strong interpersonal skills and be flexible, detail-oriented, professional, easy to get along with, enthusiastic and of high moral character.

BONUS POINTS
  • React or any front-end development experience
  • Understanding of css transitions/animations & easing functions.
  • Experience developing working prototypes from your designs
