Specific on-call expectations for Software Development Engineers can be minimal depending on a number of factors.<br><br></div><div><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></div><ul><li>7+ years of full time programming experience in a group/team environment</li><li>Experience and proficiency making architectural decisions both in expanding existing projects and planning/implementing new systems&nbsp;</li><li>Significant experience with microservice architecture, server-side and client-side technologies such as NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, and VueJS</li><li>Cloud Networking and Network Security proficiency</li><li>Experience protecting against security risks such as XSS, SQL Injection, appropriate use of TLS, session hijacking etc.</li><li>Experience, knowledge, and mindfulness of security best practices with server-side and client-side languages</li><li>Experience writing technical documentation and proposals</li><li>Embraces Agile principles and Scrum</li><li>Able to navigate ambiguous requirements while prioritizing multiple projects, tasks, and bug fixes</li><li>Value collaboration, reviewing others work, mentoring others, as well as receiving constructive feedback</li><li>Excel at communicating complex technical requirements with clarity, and the ability to influence others' technical design decisions</li><li>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>Experience with Golang, Microservice architecture, JSON, and Redis</li><li>Solid understanding of OAuth2 or OIDC</li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud hosting providers</li><li>Experience with Observability tools for logging, metrics, and alerting</li><li>Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment</li><li>Knowledge of data security best practices related to PCI/DSS/CISP/HIPAA</li><li>Experience with containerization and orchestration (i.e. Docker/Kubernetes)</li><li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Compensation</strong></div><div>The total compensation for this role (base salary + bonuses) will be between $150,000 - $170,000/yr.<br><br></div><div><strong>Location</strong></div><div>Subsplash currently has operations in 22 states across the US!
