We are seeking a Lead Programmer to be responsible for the technical aspect and the development of Gate Zero.<br><br></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Lead the team of programmers and manage their daily tasks</li><li>Collaborate with a distributed engineering team in multiple locations</li><li>Develop, optimize, and maintain systems across both client and server</li><li>Stay updated on gaming trends and advancements to inform development decisions</li><li>Ensure the engineering team works within the constraints of the existing game engine to meet performance, quality and maintainability benchmarks</li><li>Pro-actively address issues blocking the team, providing them with the tools to work effectively</li><li>Write code alongside your team members</li><li>Mentor, oversee and support the career growth and well-being of direct reports</li></ul><div><br><strong>Qualifications required</strong></div><ul><li>7+ years game programming experience. Must have shipped at least 2 AA / AAA games as a Lead Programmer</li><li>Good command of C++ programming, including refactoring, optimization, debugging and testing</li><li>Unreal Engine specific experience and expertise in framework and code / data architecture using Unreal Engines best practices</li><li>Experience in one or more video game engineering specialties (Gameplay, Engine, UI, Rendering, Tools, Networking, etc… )</li><li>Experience mentoring or managing engineers</li><li>An understanding of video game production with the ability to see the perspective of other professionals involved in production</li><li>Autonomous, problem-solving, and open-minded attitude</li><li>Good communication skills, ability &amp; desire to work as a team player</li><li>A calm demeanour when facing challenging situations (you know a solution is always at hand)</li><li>Impeccable strategic leadership skills</li></ul><div><br><strong>Preferred:</strong></div><ul><li>Love of games: Specifically, open world and RPG titles as well as cooperative games</li><li>Passionate in bringing the messages of the Bible out in video game form</li></ul><div><br><strong>What we offer</strong></div><ul><li>Creative and inspiring work environment.
