<div><strong>Duties</strong></div><ol><li><strong>Graphic Design</strong><ol><li>Assist in graphic design projects for Joni and Friends materials including print material, email, social media graphics, and other assigned projects</li><li>Work within the Joni and Friends branding guidelines to ensure brand consistency</li><li>Work with Creative Team members and copy editors to create material layouts and final designs</li><li>Conceptualize visuals based on requests, present ideas, and prepare rough drafts and mockups</li><li>Review the Joni and Friends photo library and stock images to acquire relevant and engaging photos for all mediums and perform light edits as needed</li><li>Basic photo editing, as needed</li><li>Test graphics across various media, such as the website and social media</li><li>Revise designs after feedback and ensure quality of the final product</li><li>Handle standardized requests such as social media thumbnails and business cards<br><br></li></ol></li><li><strong>Creative Concepts</strong><ol><li>Assist the Marketing team in the development of design and creative marketing concepts including campaign brainstorms and branded projects</li><li>Help develop and refine an overall aesthetic and unified look across Joni and Friends graphic media</li><li>As needed, assist Lead Photographer on styling photo shoots<br><br></li></ol></li><li><strong>Graphic Request Administration</strong><ol><li>Process incoming graphics requests or forward them to the correct team member; utilize our project management system Asana</li><li>Review design requests and determine requirements</li><li>As assigned, oversee project lifecycle including coordination with external vendors (such as printers), project specifications, cost quotes, proofs, and final delivery</li><li>Help maintain and organize the archive of graphic assets in our digital asset management system, Orange Logic (training in Orange Logic will be provided.)<br><br></li></ol></li><li><strong>Industry Trends</strong><ol><li>Stay up to date with current industry-leading software, technologies, design tools and applications</li><li>Stay informed on graphic design trends, related to print, web, and social media</li></ol></li><li><strong>Other duties and projects as assigned by the Supervisor to support department and organizational needs</strong></li></ol><div><strong><br>Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith</li><li>Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry</li><li>Minimum of three years of graphic design experience</li><li>Be able to provide a strong design portfolio or work samples</li><li>A keen eye for aesthetics and details</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Ability to work methodically, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects</li><li>Must have knowledge of design principles and current digital technologies, along with an understanding of different digital channels, functionality, digital marketing best practices, and user experience requirements</li><li>Must possess excellent computer skills and strong capabilities in Microsoft Office 365 applications and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, and Illustrator) with the aptitude to learn additional software programs</li><li>Must enjoy working with others in a team environment and be flexible to meet the requirements of the department</li><li>Proficiency in content management systems (preferred)</li><li>Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plus</li><li>Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable</li></ul><div><br>Compensation is dependent upon the geographic area as this can be a remote position, but will fall into the $52,000 - $60,000 range.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Prior to applying for any position with Joni and Friends, all applicants must review our <a href="https://www.joniandfriends.org/about/what-we-believe/">Statement of Faith</a> and Mission Statement (below) and be in agreement with both.<br><br></div><div><strong>Ministry Life:</strong></div><div>Joni and Friends desire is to glorify God in the way we conduct ourselves, and in the work we do.
